On 11 July place stones in public places with messages in support of Sakine and against stoning

11 July is the International Day against Stoning – a day we would do well to mark especially given that Sakine Mohammadi Ashtiani faces imminent death by stoning for adultery.

During the week of 5-11 July, take stones to your city centres, universities, workplaces, and put them in a public place, with a message in support of Sakine and against stoning and executions. Ask people to send letters of protest and sign the petition opposing it. Send in any photos to be included on the Iran Solidarity blog.

Let's end this once and for all.

BTW, here is a photo of an act Maryam Namazie had done a while back when Sakine was first sentenced:

    Monstrous insult to any civilised society,secular, religious or whatever. No compassion, love nor forgiveness. Typical of madmen immersed in nuclear arsenals of barbarism.What of the children?     We all need to pray to God!! I don't think the Iranian govt will care about our petitions. God will miraculously rescue this woman!!! We need to believe that He can do such things and has done such things and WILL do such things!! Please pray whether you petition or not!! Prayer is powerful stuff!! They also have double standards, considering nearly all Muslim men are unfaithful to their wives and regularly beat the crap out of them. If there are truly any decent Muslims out there, lets here you speak out against these atrocities, or do you really actually think that all your laws are Allahs wishes???     Oh good grief have mercy do not make yourselves look to the world like this, your actually harming the image of Islam more then I think you realize.
